Our seminar will discuss the current landscape of private investment contracts in Peru while analysing the lessons that can be learned from international arbitration cases. In doing so, our speakers will explore the role of national and international lawyers, consider how the government and investors can achieve mutually beneficial outcomes when considering their investments in Peru and draw a comparison to other Latin American countries.

Lucio Sánchez Povis

Lucio Sánchez Povis is the Managing Partner of Sánchez Povis Abogados. Lucio is also a  Professor of Administrative Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. Furthermore, Lucio is the current President of the Peruvian Commission for the Defense of Free Competition „INDECOPI“.

Lucio read law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and holds an LLM degree in Energy Law from University College London.

Lenin is a Director of Private Investment Policy at the Peruvian Ministry of Economy and Finance and a university professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.

Lenin read law at the Pedro Ruiz Gallo National University and holds a Master´s in Business Law with a specialty in business regulations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
